He is considered to be one of the best authors in this field. The winner of two of the most important Polish awards for authors of crime fiction - the High Caliber Award and the Criminal PiƂa Award. He received them for the novel "Flaw" that starts the cycle of crime novels with the police Commissioner named Bernard Gross.
